Calling all puzzle constructors in the Bronx:
An Egyptian cobra (ASP) is on the loose . . . and heading home (to the nearest crossword grid). She's homesick. Totally understandable. Why live in a Reptile House when you can be 1-Across?
I don't think the snake has a name . . . I shall call her Asperanza. Isn't she lovely?

I'd rather be in a crossword puzzle than trapped in a reptile house. That's for sure.
We are confident that the snake is secure within the Reptile House. Still, some visitors were angry to learn that they had entered the reptile house without warning; it has since been closed. “When the snake gets hungry or thirsty, it will start to move around the building. Once that happens, it will be our best opportunity to recover it,”
Methinks that Hissmeralda has a certain appeal...ya think?
Hissmeralda . . . is that Alan Alda's asp? :)
